Effect of anti-sense MIF plasmid transfection on cell growth of colon 26 cells. Growth of colon 26 cells (initial cell count, 5 × 103 cells) transfected with anti-sense MIF cDNA was examined by MTS assay after 96 hr incubation. Lane 1, control colon 26 cells; lane 2, the cells transfected with pBK vector alone; lane 3, colon 26 cells transfected with pBK-MIFAS. The result is the mean ± SD of three different experiments (n = 9); *statistically significant (p < 0.01).
