Cells were treated with 200 nM AS2 or control oligonucleotide K for 24 hr and photographed. (A) Examples of cell lines undergoing significant cell death characteristic of apoptosis are shown. (B) SK-N-SH cells treated with AS2 were stained with the DNA dye DAPI to reveal nuclear fragmentation and shrinkage of apoptotic cells.
