LPS stimulates MEK1 and ERK2 activity in Raw 264.7 cell

RAW 264.7 cells were cultured in medium containing 0.5% FCS overnight to minimize basal ERK2 and MEK1 activity. LPS was added to the cultures at a concentration of 100 ng/ml, and the cells were lysed in RIPA buffer at varying times thereafter. MEK1 and ERK2 activity was assessed using immune complex kinase assays as described in Materials and Methods. Each point represents a single determination.
