Comparison of fold changes in gene expression of six representative genes between duplicate quantitative RT-PCRs after normalization with 18S RNA (open and gray bars) vs. the mean value from two microarray experiments (hatched bar) during 3-day viral infection. The fold change is expressed on a logarithmic scale. If a gene expression value is greater than 1, the gene is upregulated; if less than 1, the gene is downregulated.
