Effects of rAAV1-SERCA2a transfer in regional myocardial perfusion. (A) 99mTc-MIBI SPECT images of control group. (B and C) 99mTc-MIBI SPECT images of the IHD+EGFP and the IHD+SERCA2a groups. The control group exhibited no detectable defect. At 4 wks after ameroid implantation, the two viral-administered groups exhibited a significant myocardial perfusion defect in the LAD coronary artery-dependent zone. No significant improvement of myocardial perfusion was detected at 8 wks after rAAV1-SERCA2a transfer in the IHD+SERCA2a group.
